Floor Maintenance

This week we are going to discuss how to maintain your rich, beautiful glowing floors after applying our Quick Shine® Multi-Surface Floor Finish or our Quick Shine® High Traffic Hardwood Floor Luster.  The following information is key to successfully keeping the shine on your gorgeous floors.

First, you want to maintain the shine by keeping your floors clean and free of dirt and dust.  It’s recommended to frequently dry dust mop the floors to help keep the soil levels at a minimum.  Evict those little dust bunnies!  For a more thorough clean, you can use our Quick Shine® Multi-Surface Floor Cleaner or Quick Shine® High Traffic Hardwood Floor Cleaner with a microfiber pad.  It is not recommended to pour the cleaning solution directly onto the flooring surface that has been treated with our floor finishes, but rather dampen the mop head/pad with cleaning solution and then damp mop the floor.  If you really want to obtain the easiest cleaning method, use our Floor Cleaner in our Quick Shine® Multi-Surface Spray Mop!   It’s lightweight, even-mist spray technology provides you with the easiest cleaning tool you have ever witnessed.  Another perk is the refillable on-board spray bottle…never waste money buying those inconvenient cleaning cartridge refills again!

It is also very important to avoid using vinegar or ammonia solutions to clean your floors in the future, as they will reduce the shine over time and ammonia can actually remove the finish.  Many general purpose cleaning brands look acceptable when they are wet, but when dry it creates foot printing and haze issues due to residue that is left on the floor.

Also, you can freshen the shine with a new Quick Shine® Multi-Surface Floor Finish or Quick Shine® High Traffic Hardwood Floor Luster gloss coat whenever you feel it is necessary by simply applying a new coat.  As a general rule-of-thumb, high traffic areas should be freshened every 2-3 months and light traffic areas every 4-6 months.  You can even freshen just the high traffic lanes of the floor if you wish.

Feel free to give us your feedback below and tell us what you think of our easy-to-use spray mop!
