How To Make Your Home Smell Amazing After Cleaning

Have you ever cleaned your entire house and still have lingering odors you can’t quite figure out how to get rid of? I have experienced this more often than I care to admit. No matter how much I tidy and wash, unless it smells nice, it doesn’t feel clean. So how do you get rid of those pesky odors? I’m glad you asked. Check out these 4 tips and breathe easy once again.

  1. Clean Filters. Have you ever thought about the different filters in your home? Water filters, Air filters, Vacuum filters, Dishwasher and Washing Machine Filters, etc. If you are not cleaning these filters out frequently, do it now.
  2. Deep Clean Your Floors. Whether you have carpets or hard surface floors, you need to deep clean them more often to knock out the odors. Here is one of my favorite products that not only deep cleans, but also smells amazing. Hexol was specifically designed to remove tough odors. I shampoo my carpets with this holy grail cleaner and use it in my Spray Mop. It also works on laundry and in drains or any other place to clean and freshen so it is the perfect all-in-one cleaner to move from room to room while cleaning. The amazing pine scent is sure to rid any tough odor in your home.
  3. Wash Linens. Another surface that traps odors. If your cushions are removable and washable, this is a quick way to freshen your furniture. Bedding, curtains and rugs should be cleaned often. If you have pets, don’t neglect their toys and bedding.
  4. Change Plug-Ins. Typically an air freshener, oil diffuser or candle will need replaced every month. Keep extra stored away for a instant burst of fragrance so you’re always ready for the unexpected guest.

Now that Spring is upon us, don’t forget to open the windows and let the fresh air in. But if you think that a window replacement is needed, look for Maverick Windows serving all of Dallas homes.🌤
