Trying a new product? We’ve got you covered! Whether you’re new to Quick Shine® or a longtime fan, here’s everything you need to know about our Multi-Surface Floor Finish and High Traffic Hardwood Floor Luster—both designed to bring your floors back to life.

What do these products do?

Our water-based formulas dry to a hard, glossy finish, adding shine and slip resistance to sealed floors. Apply in thin layers, let dry for 30–45 minutes between coats, and avoid water exposure for 4–5 days to allow full curing.

What’s the difference between Floor Finish & Hardwood Luster?

  • Floor Finish: Ideal for all sealed hard floors.
  • Hardwood Luster: Contains carnauba wax for extra depth and shine on hardwood floors.

How do I clean my floors after applying Quick Shine®?

For the first 4–5 days, use a dry dust mop only. After curing, clean with Quick Shine® Floor Cleaners and a microfiber mop—no flood-mopping!

Can I use Quick Shine® on all floor types?

  • Laminate & engineered hardwood: Yes, apply in thin coats.
  • Oil-based floors: No, our water-based formulas won’t adhere.
  • Outdoor areas & garages: Not recommended.

What if I see streaks or white spots?

  • Streaks: Likely caused by residue or improper application. Apply an extra coat to even it out.
  • White spots: Caused by water during curing. Let dry overnight, then reapply a thin layer over the affected area.

Can I buff or steam clean my floors after applying Quick Shine®?

  • Buffing: Only recommended for Hardwood Luster, not Floor Finish.
  • Steam Cleaning: Not recommended—it can weaken the finish.

With Quick Shine®, achieving beautiful, long-lasting floors is simple. Just apply, let dry, and enjoy the shine! ✨

After applying floor finish, how long before moving furniture back into room?

Hi Lonni! Although the Floor Finish can dry in as little as as 30-45 minutes, it takes 4-5 days to fully cure. However, you may move your furniture back into the room after a few hours using the “lift and move” procedure instead of scooting things into place. Also, use extra caution when moving things (kitchen table chairs for instance) until the Floor Finish is completely cured. I applied a second coat to early and now there are little circles everywhere I applied on the surface. Will another coat fix this?

        Hi Derrick,

Unfortunately you may need to spot treat and remove the Finish from those areas. We recommend using Quick Shine Deep Cleaner or Ammonia and Water to remove the Finish. Once the area is clean and dry, you can reapply a new coat to blend and even out the appearance of the floor.

There are repeated circle spots on.my floors. Do i remove those areas and the reaaply only on those areas or is there overlap? How do I apply after the intitial 5×5 area? Do i overlap or what? There needs more direction. And what causes those circles to prevent in future?

            Hi Falin,
Are there spots where you squirt the finish out of the bottle and did not spread quickly enough? Or are the spots from water drops? You can spot treat any affected areas with Quick Shine Deep Cleaner. Once that area is clean, reapply the finish to blend. We recommend avoiding water spots arounds sinks, showers, etc. by placing a rug or towel down in those areas. When applying the Finish, we recommend working in 3′ areas at a time. Squirt the finish and spread immediately with a clean, lightly dampened microfiber mop pad.

We used Quick Shine on our hardwood floors. We have scratches from our dog. How do we remove the scratches? How can you or should you remove the Quick Shine?

Hi Kay! We recommend using our Quick Shine Deep Cleaner to remove the scratches and compromised shine from your floors. Quick Shine® Deep Cleaner/Wax Remover will also remove other waxes and finishes without harming hardwood floors or their polyurethane seal or any other type of floor surface, including tile and tile grout. You can also just do the compromised areas rather than the entire floor surface, if you wish. Can you use a swifter on a laminate floor?

      Hi Christa,

You can use a dry swiffer pad on your laminate floor to pick up dust and light debris. It is recommended to vacuum first, then dust to pick up what the vacuum left behind. Once your floors are clean and dry, simply squirt and spread our Quick Shine Multi-Surface Floor Finish for a beautiful protective shine on your laminate. We do not recommend the wet swiffer pads as the fragrance and cleaning agent in those pads can leave residue behind and streak the floors. Reusable microfiber mop pads are a wonderful alternative and environmentally friendly. Use our Quick Shine Multi-Surface Cleaner to maintain your floors quick and easy. Squirt. Spread. Done!

      Hi Terry,

You can spot treat areas that have been affected by moving heavy furniture across the floor with our Quick Shine Deep Cleaner. This product will emulsify our Finish back into its liquid form and it will easily wipe away. Once your floor is clean and dry, you can reapply a few new coats to just the area that you have removed. This should blend back nicely.

I used quick shine floor finish on my engineered wood floors, however there are several areas that have streaks that are visibly noticeable. How do I fix this? Also, how do I completely remove quick shine floor finish?

      Posted September 21, 2017 at 8:25 am

Hi Melissa! A streaky, white residue that occurs over recently applied floor finish can be caused by a variety of factors: applying the finish to an unclean surface, not using a fresh applicator pad, allowing foot or pet traffic before the finish has dried, or not allowing each coat to completely dry before cleaning or applying additional coats.

To correct your situation and to remove the finish, we recommend using Quick Shine® Deep Cleaner. The Deep Cleaner was specifically formulated to safely remove the finish in any compromised areas of your floor. After using our Deep Cleaner, you may apply the Quick Shine Floor Finish once the floor has completely dried. You will be amazed at the deep, rich, protective glow. If applied and maintained correctly, you will not need to go through the removing process again. If you have any additional questions please feel free to call our Customer Service M-F at 1-800-255-1891 from 8am-4:30pm EST. We are always happy to help!

I have been using the green bottle for many yrs and have recommended it to families n friends. I’m extremely happy with this product however i picked up the brown bottle for the 1st time and got nervous so i did not use the brown bottle. What is the difference between them? Can i use the green one as the 1st coat n the brown 1 as the 2nd coat? Which 1 gives a better shine? This is a A+ product! Love It but would like to try the brown bottle.Should i stop being nervous n give it a shot? Will it show up all the imperfiction on my hardwood floor?

      Hi Scotch,

Thank you for your brand loyalty. Both our Quick Shine Multi-Surface Floor Finish and Quick Shine Hardwood Luster can be applied over existing coats of one another. Our Hardwood Luster contains pure plant based carnauba wax in the formula which will provide a softer shine than our Multi-Surface Floor Finish. If you have a high traffic home and you feel that the Multi-Surface Finish is not holding up as well, you can use our Hardwood Luster next time to see if it provides the durability you are looking for. You truly can’t go wrong with either product so don’t be worried to give our Hardwood Floor Luster a try next time!

Some Quick Shine liquid was inadvertently spilled on our wool Persian carpet. What can be done to remove it without damaging the rug?

      Hi John,

We recommend applying our Quick Shine Deep Cleaner to the spill on your wool Persian carpet. Simply dilute a few teaspoons of Deep Cleaner to 1 cup of HOT water and apply to the area. Allow solution to sit for a few minutes before gently dabbing the area with a damp cloth. You may need to repeat the process a few times to completely soften the carpet fibers and remove all of the Finish. If you have additional questions, please contact customer service at 800-255-1891. We are always happy to help!

Our Quick Shine Multi-Surface Floor Cleaner can be poured directly into the spray mop without diluting as it is a premixed, ready-to-use formula. Quick and Easy!!

I applied Quick Shine to my clean hardwood floors and it looked awesome! The next day we started noticing more n more terrible scratches from the dog. What changed when I applied this product? It is softening my wood floors? What do I do now? My floors have lasted years and within a few days of applying this product they look terrible. Do I need to get the product off the flooring? If so, what is the best way to remove from real hardwood floors? Thanks in advance!

      Hi Jenifer,

Thank you for reaching out to us. Most likely your pet’s nails are scratching into our Finish causing these surface scratches. You can spot treat the areas or remove all of the Finish to get back to your original floors. We recommend removing our Finish with Quick Shine Deep Cleaner. If you would like more information on how to maintain your floors with pets, please contact our customer service department at 800-255-1891. We are always happy to help!

Once you apply the quick shine deep cleaner do the scratches go away then? This happened to our floors as well. We were unable to find the quick shine deep cleaner, so ordered it and it should arrive today. Our floors are new…does that mean the “surface scratch” is in the wax and will be gone once the deep cleaner is used?

          Hi Tami,
If you have Quick Shine Finish on your floors and they are showing scratches, our Quick Shine Deep Cleaner will remove our Finish as well as the surface scratches. Our Finish acts as a protective barrier on your floors and the scratches are only etching our Finish. For additional questions, please contact customer service at 800-255-1891. We are always happy to help!
