Quick Solution to Drips & Overspray

Accidents happen, am I right?  However, there is no need to worry about this situation.  We have a quick and simple solution for you!

If you get a wet ring on your table from the solution dripping down the side of the bottle, or get over-splash on your wall and/or appliances when applying the finish to your floor – don’t fret!

You can remove the Quick Shine® Multi-Surface Floor Finish or Quick Shine® High Traffic Hardwood Floor Luster from a variety of surfaces with WINDEX or FORMULA 409.  It’s that simple!  Apply either of these products directly onto the Quick Shine® splatter and leave it on for a minute or so, and then wipe it off with a damp cloth.  This method has worked for many of our consumers who needed to remove a small amount from appliances, countertops, or tables.  Ba-Da-Bing, Ba-Da-Boom!

      Hi Mayra,

We recommend our Quick Shine Deep Cleaner to safely remove our Finish if the shine has become compromised. Simply dilute our Deep Cleaner with HOT water and mop solution over affected area, let sit 2-3 minutes and mop away. Finish with a clean water rinse. Once the area is clean and dry, you can reapply a new coat of our Finish to even out the shine again. If you have additional questions, please contact 800-255-1891. We are always happy to help!

Can you use quick shine light cleaner on linoleum without the polish? Will it build up like polish does?

I had a puddle that sat on my laminate flooring and it stripped the area to a dull look. How can I get that area to shine again? Thank you.

          Hi Evelyn,

We recommend spot treating the affected area with 2-3 tbsp. of Ammonia and 1/2 cup of HOT water. Apply solution to area and let it sit 1-2 minutes before wiping away. Once the finish is removed, simply reapply the Finish to blend and even out the appearance of the floor again. This method has worked for other consumers with similar issues.

        Hola Ana,

This product was used on my floors and the person sprayed a large area and before she came back to the area to mop it the product had dried. I now have polka dot hardwood floors. This is a large area and need a recommendation on how to remove it without damaging my hardwood floors. I see the recommendation for a small area is Windex or 409 but this is a large area that is not evenly covered. Thanks for the recommendation.

      Hi Korena,

To remove the Finish from larger areas, we recommend using Quick Shine Deep Cleaner. Dilute 1 cup per Gallon of HOT water and apply the solution to a 5′ area. Let sit for 2-3 minutes and mop away. This product was specifically formulated to safely remove our Finish from any sealed hard surface flooring.

And just to confirm, it won’t take off any of the hardwood finish that does not have your product on it? Again, I have spots in a large area but it does not cover the entire surface.

          Hi Korena,

That is correct. Quick Shine Deep Cleaner cannot remove the factory finish or polyurethane finish on floors. Our Floor Finish is water based which is why it is able to be dissolved and removed.

I used Quick Shine Floor Luster on my engineered hardwood floors; the floors were pristine before using the product (only 2 years old) but they were dull (not shiny). Now it looks horrible – I have spots that are splotchy and sports that look as if I didn’t apply the product at all even though I did. I applied a 2nd coat hoping that would fix things but it did not. What do I do? I tried windex on 1 small area & the dark floor is cloudy white (this is not leftover wax but a cloudy white/dull sheen) What can I do to remove all of the Quick Shine Floor Luster from my floors without leaving a cloudy white residue?
